Winter Camp @ Camp TRJ

Great news! Winter Break is right around the corner and with it comes Winter Camp at Camp TRJ, near Athens, TX.

December 27-31, 2023

This year features an amazing diversity of Merit Badge opportunities from Space Exploration to Cycling, Geology, Environmental Science, Climbing Tower, Blacksmith, Horses, Welding – AND MORE! (full list in link below)

Formal Registration through Circle Ten begins October 11th, enter your course selections today!

Estimated cost is ~$95 which includes $65 registration cost of Camp, $20 for food, and $10 for ancillaries like trailer maintenance fund. Some courses like Horseback Riding, Gun Ranges, have an additional cost of $10-15ish, details on pg. 3 of MB document.

1st Preferred MB Class

2nd Preferred MB Class

Merit badges will be offered in three 50-minutes periods each morning. Please note this is ~40% less time than is normally allowed in a typical summer camp merit badge program. Some merit badges may be able to be completed at Winter Camp, but most will be partials.

3rd Preferred MB Class

4th Preferred MB Class

Sometimes classes fill up during registration. We will place registrants in classes as available, starting with the first three preferences and working down.
