We traveled to Duluth, Minnesota by plane where we were picked up by our transportation company. They dropped us off at Giant's Ridge Lodge in Biwabik, MN. It is a ski lodge in the winter and houses many Boy Scouts that are on their way to Northern Tier during the summer. They had a nice indoor pool that the boys enjoyed that afternoon after our arrival. The meals were great.

On our way, we stopped at an outfitter shop and heard a very good seminar on fishing in the boundary waters area.
Then, after buying some fishing gear, we were off to Northern Tier High Adventure base camp.
There were 10 boys and 5 adults on this trip. We had three boys from other troops join us on our trek. We broke into two crews with different paths. Mr. Baker's crew traveled about 65 miles with Jacob (Interpreter), Mr. Allen, Will, Justin, Thomas Dashiel and Curtis. Mr. Fisher's crew traveled about 75 miles with Ms. Wright, Michael Stetler, Jonas, Kolby, Nolan, Zane, Chase and their interpreter. (photos to come)
