Instead of a regular campout, each December the troop goes to a local climbing gym, usually on Friday evening or Saturday evening until the next morning. Then, bright and early we leave the facility and go to an IHOP for breakfast. Some of the boys end up with their faces in their pancakes. This activity has become quite a tradition. Webelos are invited for two or three hours in the evening, but they have to leave around 1am. If the boys have not received their Climbing Merit badge, this is where they can earn it.
